We run a family business that has been educating youngsters, children, teens, adults and families successfully for over a third of a century. Sung Star Academy's Executive Director is Youngsun Yoon. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Technology and is a member of the National Association for the Education for Young Children. Prior to joining Sung Star she owned and ran a successful business. For eight years Mrs. Yoon has worked toward the growth and development of the business side of Sung Star Academy. She is married to Kum Sung/ Sung Star Karate Master Charhee Yoon. Master Charhee is an actor in the Ninja Turtle Movies and former National Karate Champion, who instructs Sung Stars students in Karate for Physical Education. Mr. and Mrs. Yoon are parents of a current Sung Star Academy student.

Diana V. MacKenzie is the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Sung Star Academy. She has 38 years of experience in public school education in Ocean County, as a Teacher, Principal and Director of Curriculum and Instruction. She holds two Master of Arts degrees from Georgian Court University in Elementary Education and Public School Administration. Her New Jersey certifications include: Elementary Teacher K-8, Reading Specialist K-12, Supervisor, Principal and Business Administrator. Mrs. MacKenzie is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and lifetime member of the New Jersey PTA.
